Hey bro, sounds like the trip is going well. How'd you save the routes to GMAPS? Pretty cool. Here's a camping tip for you, as you're cleary a driving man, but not a fire starter. Buy a can of oil and douse some toilet paper in it. It'll keep the flame going a lot longer than newspaper or small twigs initially. I learned this one a few weeks back.
